Sean Oosterlinck is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor, and received his Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Indiana Wesleyan University.
Sean provides a space of caring and acceptance, in which clients can feel safe to express their inner most selves, their struggles, and desires for change. He believes clients are the experts of their own lives, and therefore, seeks for therapy to be a collaborative relationship in which the therapist and client work together to discover the client’s capacity and motivation for change, and for clients to be active in the therapy process. He works with clients to develop their awareness of thoughts and feelings, and utilizes cognitive and behavioral exercises in order to support clients in developing their psychological flexibility to managing the problems of life and overcome the symptoms they are experiencing. Sean has been working in community mental health primarily with children and families for the past three years. However, he has joined the Renewal team in order to focus on helping adults and couples work through life’s challenges through meaningful change conversations and the use of cognitive tools. In his free time, Sean enjoys wood working, painting, and spending time with his family. Specialties
